Redland City Council, QLD – Levels of Service Review

By October 23, 2019No Comments

Levels of Service are key to effective open space management; they define what we are delivering to our customers or community.  For Redland City Council we reviewed their park categories and applied quality standards, assessing provision, development and operation.  We also gained insights into the users’ level of satisfaction, pulling the results together through surveys and performance assessments. Key outcomes showed some correlation with those parks having the lowest performance assessment scores, in each category, also having the lowest user satisfaction score; overall park user satisfaction remained relatively high regardless of the level of park quality and category, indicating park users’ expectations “adjusted” to meet the character of the park; and the most important park attributes were cleanliness, gardens/trees and security, paths and tracks.
