Central Otago District Council
Xyst developed a comprehensive options analysis to assist the Council in making improved decisions on camping infrastructure and the management of camping in the District.
Nelson City Council
Xyst provided full project management of the innovative Nelson Camping Hub. This included site selection, approvals, lease, establishment, signage and daily management of contractors.
Nelson City Council
Xyst carried out a survey of campers who utilised eight free camping facilities provided by Nelson City Council. The aim of the survey was to improve the Council’s understanding of campers in Nelson City to help improved strategic responses to camping issues.
Department of Conservation
Xyst was engaged by the Department of Conservation to identify and understand the immediate pressures facing the Mackenzie Basin from visitors and identify the planned responses to these pressures by the various agencies who provide visitor facilities. This initial work is part of a planned visitor strategy for sustainable tourism in the Mackenzie Basin.
Thames-Coromandel District Council
Xyst prepared and procured a $20m full service maintenance contract for the Thames Coromandel District Council.
TRC Tourism
This Master Plan has been prepared to bring Wairarapa Five Towns Trail Network to life. It has been prepared in conjunction with the Territorial Authorities of the region with the assistance of stakeholders and those passionate about developing a world class network of recreational trails.
TRC Tourism
We worked with TRC Tourism to develop the Coastal Pacific Trail Feasibility Assessment following an earthquake in late 2016, which had presented a potential opportunity to develop a cycle trail from Picton in the Marlborough region to Kaikoura in northern Canterbury.
Invercargill City Council
A comprehensive review of cemetery and crematorium operation procedures to ensure best practice and legal compliance.
Gore District Council
Xyst assisted the Council improve cemetery management at the Gore District Council by undertaking a review of their cemetery operations and process.
