Xyst undertook analysis based on the information provided by Whakatāne District Council including concept drawings (2018), Whakatāne Holiday Park Business and Investment Plan (APR 2019), Whakatāne Holiday Park Redevelopment Visual Proposals 2021 and Survey Monkey Feedback from guests staying at the Park from October 2021 – April 2022. We also conducted broader research via desktop analysis of other facilities including additional data from MBIE, Tourism New Zealand, Tourism Bay of Plenty, Tourism Whakatāne, and Infometrics NZ. Recommendations were provided to the Commercial Advisory Board and Whakatāne District Council.
